Prof. Dr. Manu Kapur is the Director of the Singapore-ETH Center and Professor of Learning Sciences and Higher Education at ETH Zurich, where he also leads The Future Learning Initiative and co-chairs the ETH Zurich–EPFL Joint Doctoral Program in the Learning Sciences. A learning scientist with a background in engineering and mathematics, he is known for developing the theory of Productive Failure, which has transformed STEM teaching and influenced national education policy in Singapore. His work spans interdisciplinary research, real-world classroom impact, and high-profile international engagement, earning global recognition and substantial research funding.
